Project Katyayani - PeriodTalk
Work Undertaken
Project Katyayani - PeriodTalk, a collaboration between the U & N Foundation, aims to empower women through comprehensive hygiene education and access to essential resources.
Key Initiatives:
1. Hygiene Awareness: Through interactive workshops, women are educated about menstrual hygiene, urinary infections, and STD prevention to promote proper hygiene practices.
2. Eco-friendly Solutions: The project introduces eco-friendly alternatives like menstrual cups, emphasizing their cost-effectiveness and environmental benefits, and encouraging sustainable choices.
3. Distribution of Menstrual Kits: Free menstrual kits, comprising sanitary pads, menstrual cups, and hygiene products, are provided to address financial barriers, ensuring access to safe menstruation management solutions.
4. Access to Healthcare Professionals: Free consultations with healthcare professionals are facilitated, offering guidance on menstrual health, urinary tract infections, and STD prevention, empowering women to make informed decisions about their health.
5. Sanitary Napkin Vending Disposal Machine: As part of our menstrual hygiene management, we also install and maintain sanitary napkin vending and disposal machines. These machines provide convenient access to sanitary napkins while ensuring promoting hygiene and eliminating the stigma associated with menstruation.
Project Katyayani - PeriodTalk reflects our commitment to empowering women with knowledge and resources for prioritizing their health and well-being. By fostering awareness, providing eco-friendly products, and offering healthcare support, we strive to enable women to manage their hygiene.
